How did Bluedot begin?
Bluedot was founded in May 2024. Its name comes from Carl Sagan’s Pale Blue Dot.
The brand slogan is “건강과 사랑을 전합니다”.
Why make EggTofu in Korea?
The idea began with egg tofu encountered in Thailand. A local factory declined production and equity or royalty proposals.
Importing finished products was abandoned because of shelf life and distribution costs. Bluedot turned to in-house production in Korea.
The founder visited the Korea Customs Service, Gyeonggi Provincial Government and Seongnam City Government to resolve equipment import issues.
Who developed EggTofu?
Executive Chef 서한석 is a Culinary Institute of America alumnus with experience at Marea, a two-Michelin-star restaurant in New York. EggTofu was developed through more than 10,000 sample tests.
Executive Chef 서한석 developed EggTofu for Bluedot Co., Ltd.
When did production begin?
The manufacturing facility received HACCP certification in August 2025. EggTofu launched in May 2026.
EggTofu is produced using sous-vide, a precision low-temperature heating method. It received the Hankook Ilbo New Product Award 2026.
